THE RANCH

This location of Cayuse Creek Ranch has been the home of Bob Coleman and Michelle Bignell only since October of 2009, following their move from Erin, Ontario. The Ranch is nestled on a secluded 110 acres in the quiet countryside of Millbrook, Ontario, Canada, about 20 kilometers southwest of Peterborough. This paradise offers peace and tranquility to Bob and Michelle, except for the occasional whinnying of horses, braying of donkeys and the gentle humming of the alpacas.

We are both obviously animal lovers and have as our lifestyle the breeding, showing and riding of Egyptian Arabian horses and the breeding and showing of Huacaya alpacas. Michelle is also very involved in the processing of the alpaca fiber and the preparation of clothing articles. In addition to the horses and alpacas, Cayuse Creek Ranch also is the home of llamas (Fergus and Allma), Mendigo the donkey, goats (Joey, Mary, Annabelle and Maybeline), miniature horse Fancy, Percheron Ruby, dogs (Dudley and Finnigan) and too many cats to mention.

The Ranch is only a few minutes on horseback from the beautiful Ganaraska Forest, Southern Ontario’s largest forest, covering over 11,000 acres of beautiful scenery with over 400 miles of trails for horseback riding, cycling, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and hiking.

The quaint town of Millbrook, almost unchanged from the original 19th century village, is only five kilometers north, and offers many tourist attractions.
